Workshops

I offer handbuilding workshops for youth (age 6 and over) and adults. The basic pinch, coil and slab techniques are introduced and explored along with surface decoration. Workshops are six weeks long and meet once a week for 90 minutes. The cost is $120 for the entire six-week session ($20 per class) and includes clay, “community” tools, glazes and firing. Starting January 3, 2012, I will also be teaching ceramic handbuilding at the Blackrock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD. Classes for youth (grades 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) and adults are scheduled. See Blackrock's class descriptions for dates and times.
